1. With the help of NCC training, students develop qualities like social service, team spirit, leadership, discipline & self discipline.
2. Since NCC training camps are held at different parts of the country, cadets get opportunities to visit important historical & industrial places and social centres.
3. NCC Cadets are taught civil defense & self defense. Due to this students develop national spirit and confidence.
4. NCC cadets are attached with Armed Forces Units every year so that they get acquainted with defense life.
5. NCC cadets are trained with for parachute jumps and mountaineering so that to develop their courage.
6. NCC cadets are given preference in recruitment to armed forces.
7. Many industrialists give priority in jobs for NCC trained candidates.
8. Central & State governments also give priority for NXCC trained students.
9. On death or for permanently handicapped NCC cadets during NCC activities, a sum of Rs. 1.25 lakhs & Rs. 1 Lakh respectively are paid from NCC welfare society.
10. Thirty two seats are reserved per course in the IMA for cadets who have passed NCC ‘C’ certificate examination. NCC cadets having 50% aggregate marks in graduation with ‘B’ grade in ‘C’ certificate examination are eligible for Short Service Commission ( NCC special entry ) without qualifying CDs written examination.
11. NCC also undertakes adventurous activities like Microlight Flying, Glider Flying, Range Firing, Skeet Shooting, aeromodelling, Mountaineering, Cycling Expeditions etc.
